Pressure booster pumps

A pressure booster pump is a device used to supply buildings with drinking water from their own source – typically a well or borehole. It can be used wherever there is no public water supply: in family homes, cottages, and chalets.

How to choose the right pressure booster pump?

The choice of the appropriate type depends primarily on the height between the suction point and the water level

  • Up to 8 meters (including losses in the horizontal part of the pipeline), a pressure booster pump with a surface pump is sufficient. A suction basket with a check valve and, if necessary, dry-running protection is placed in the well.
  • For greater depths, we recommend a pressure booster pump with a submersible pump, which is installed directly in the well or borehole and can effectively pump water even from greater depths.

What types of pressure booster pump do we offer?

We offer four basic types of pressure booster pump, which differ in design and control method:

  • Pressure booster pump with a pressure tank – a traditional and proven solution, often referred to as a "darling." They use a pressure tank to stabilize pressure and protect the pump from frequent switching. They are ideal for family homes and recreational properties.
  • Compact automatic units – modern and space-saving units without a pressure tank, which operate fully automatically and do not require complex installation.
  • Pressure booster pump with submersible pumps – designed for deeper wells or boreholes, where the pump is located directly in the water source. They reliably supply water even from greater depths.
  • Pressure booster pump with frequency converters – an advanced solution with continuous pump speed control, ensuring constant pressure, quiet operation, and lower energy consumption.
